Ok ok, so Asbestos has some negative things going for it these days. Its not the BEST insulator, it’s messy, it’s old technology and if I’m not mistaken there’s something about it causing gonorrhea or something like that. BUT, all that aside, asbestos is actually making me happy today! “Why!?” you ask…well, it’s simple. Apparently a plumber found some asbestos insulating wrap on a few pipes down in the basement and due to the poor insulation factor (I guess energy loss is a big deal these days), they decided to remove it in favor of some more “high-tech” insulation. Now, since there is a SLIGHT chance of a gonorrhea outbreak during the removal of the asbestos the powers that be have decided to give us tomorrow off to ensure the guys removing this stuff have enough time to get the work done without having to worry about exposing us to the gonorrhea particles.
So there you have it, that’s why asbestos is making me happy today. Although, come to think of it…if I was exposed to it and I contracted gonorrhea my smile would surely flip upside down and turn into a frown…
