Flag Barer:
When the winter games started this year Canada had to ask 4 or 5 olympians before a real champion, Danielle Goyette of the Women’s hockey team, agreed to carry our flag. Apparently the other athletes were afraid the hard work of carrying the flag would hurt their chances of winning. Now, I could understand if you had to compete the next day, but that wasn’t the case for some of the athletes that were asked to carry the flag. Anyhow, after it was all said and done we had an amazing olympics, however, when it came time to find someone to represent our country in the closing ceremonies the choice was pretty clear, the honor was Cindy Klassen’s if she wanted it. Of course she accepted and did a great job carrying the flag, it’s just too bad that she was one of the 4 or 5 that shot down the COC when asked to carry the flag at the opening ceremonies. I guess ultimately if you asked me, Danielle Goyette should have carried the flag for the closing ceremonies too!
TRIP:
It’s only 4 more sleeps away and I am freaking out! I’m almost all packed and I believe I’ve bought everything I need! I’m ready to kick back and enjoy the sun! YEE HAW!!!
Cheers!

“A good way to threaten somebody is to light a stick of dynamite. Then you call the guy and hold the burning fuse up to the phone. “Hear that?” you say. “That’s dynamite, baby.”
